Humans to be FROZEN IN TIME for space travel as scientists move to COLONISE other planets

ASTRONAUTS are being frozen in time in sleeper pods so they can endure long space journeys to far away destinations.

The new pods will see space travellers hibernate, bringing science fiction movies such as Interstellar and the recent Passengers movie, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, to reality. As humanity gears up to colonise other planets the sleeper pods will help with the extremely long journeys. Mars, which is the closest planet to Earth and the top of the interplanetary travel destinations, will take six months to travel to with current technology. Pluto, on the edge of the solar system, took nine and a half years to reach in the fastest, unmanned, spacecraft.

By lowering the average body temperature (37 degrees celsius) to around 32 degrees celsius, the heart rate and blood pressure are also lowered, inducing a state of sleep. Medical professionals already use the tactic to treat sufferers of cardiac arrest and heart failure so that they have more time to asses the damage.

The patients usually stay in a comatose state for up to four days, but Spaceworks – the firm developing the pods using a method it calls “therapeutic hypothermia” – believes that it could make the state last for months. John A. Bradford, president of Spaceworks, told Quartz: “Our goal is to get from days and weeks to months.”

Describing the pods, he said: “There would be some robotic arms and monitoring systems taking care of [the passengers]. “They’d have small transnasal tubes for the cooling and some warming systems as well, to bring them back from stasis.”



Spaceworks says that it will begin testing the pods on animals as early as next year with human testing to follow in space and aboard the International Space Station.

The purpose of the Large Hadron Collider is to increase our knowledge about the universe. While the discoveries scientists will make could lead to practical applications down the road, that's not the reason hundreds of scientists and engineers built the LHC.

I have just found 3 Crocodile skeletons in an official NASA image

I couldn't believe my luck when I found this NASA image! I took one look at it and thought nah, there's nothing in this image? But then down in the bottom right I thought WTF? Is that a Crocodile? Is it an Alligator? I didn't think anything of it so I left it at that? I still had the tab open later on and I thought I'de just get an image analyser from the app store and take a closer look? Then I hit what I thought was a jackpot! A Crocodile skeleton? Then it went something like this "no way"! Another 2 Crocodile skeletons that seem to be looking at the bigger one in the far right bottom? This is what I call a fluke of nature, or just a fluke that I was looking at that particular time? Either way, I have stumbled upon something amazing here.

The Crocodile skeletons seem to be "stuck" in mid motion? Like a statue or something? Why do they look like that? Then I started to think of a few scenarios to do with what could of caused a mid-flow statue? A nuclear bomb? Atomic bomb? A meteorite blast? A Martian planet wide mutual destruction? Like the old photos from Japan after the US dropped the nuclear bomb?

The shadows of the Japanese people were literally burned in to concrete and people's bodies were caught in mid-flow which then looked like a statue? That's all I can come up with at this time as to what caused this "mid-flow" statue look on these so-called skeletons? Can you think of another theory as to why these look like they do? Is it purely a natural coincidence that they look the way they do?

I'm totally convinced that these are skeletons because I've seen other official images from NASA's archives that show bones, skulls, animals etc. There's the dinosaur head with jaw and teeth. Multiple skulls and numerous bones scattered across the surface of Mars! It is proof of life and I even found a piece of pottery on Mars in official image, of which you'll see below in this awesome image. I circled the pottery in red.

NASA Reveals It's Stunning 4K Ultra HD Video Of The International Space Station

If you think cabin fever on Earth is bad, just wait until you see what it's like to live on board the International Space Station. NASA has unveiled a stunning Ultra HD video of the space station which gives an incredible impression of actually being there.


Videomakers used a fisheye lens, and toured everything from the panoramic cupola to the holding rooms where disembodied spacesuit heads wait ready to venture outside.

The channel is described as an 'ambient video channel highlighting beautiful imagery from the space program'. It uses Ultra HD cameras on board the station.



NASA TV UHD is currently available on the AMC 18C satellite, with a North American footprint. The panorama was made using photography by Italian Esa astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti during her time on the station. The module has about 2,650 cubic feet (75 cubic metres) of space and is filled with research equipment, which can be explored in the video. About 14 fish-eye photos were stitched together to create this interior view of Columbus, Esa's biggest contribution to the ISS, which was attached to the station in 2008 by Space Shuttle Atlantis.

This fascinating interactive panorama released by the European Space Agency reveals the cramped conditions astronauts on board the station operate in while orbiting at a height of 255 miles (410km), far from any assistance. The image gives an astronaut's eye-view of the various pieces of equipment on board the Columbus space laboratory - and eventually Esa intends to allow the public to take similar tours of the entire orbiting outpost.

Whilst perusing the Martian Images I simply clicked on the very first image and BAM, there it was just looking at me? I started to think rationally like, dust, pixels etc. But after looking at it, there is what seems to be another UFO just to the left and down (sound familiar?) because its exactly the same thing that happened in my last Mars image. A UFO and another just left and down a bit? What are the odd's of that happening twice?

I mean it doesn't get any better than this, the first 2 times I go look for the very first times, I get lucky I suppose, and find 2 anomalies straight away? What are the odd's of that happening? Free Science At Last, NASA's Entire Research Library Is In The Public Domain

NASA is opening up its research library to the public in the newly launched web database PubSpace…and it’s absolutely free. From here on out, any NASA-funded research articles in peer-reviewed journals must comply to its new policy.

This requires that papers be published and uploaded to the portal within one year of publication so that they are freely accessible to anyone.

The only exception is studies that involve patents and material governed by personal privacy, proprietary, or security laws. NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan believes that this move will benefit fellow scientists and engineers and accelerate innovation.

Moon Size UFO Flies Straight into the Sun Without Exploding, Crazy

I found this UFO near our sun today. Its big, about as big as our moon, and its shiny...like its surface is metallic, reflecting the light off of it. The shape is unusual like a pyramid. This object should not be this close to the sun without burning up. It should be impossible, but its there in a NASA SOHO image. I saw other photos of the same location from 13:00...6 min before and from 13:13...7 minutes after this photo was taken. The UFO is gone...no moon size object could possible just disappear unless it had partial light speed capability. There is no known propulsion that could get this moon size object far enough from the sun in just 6 minutes. It may have been entering the sun, because if it was leaving from the sun, there should have been a trail following it, but there is none, therefore, I know it was entering it. Scott C. The idea for an EmDrive was proposed in 2000 by a researcher named Roger Shawyer. Since then four independent labs, including one at Nasa, have recreated the drive. But the mysterious engine had baffled scientists because it appeared to violate the law of conservation of momentum, which states for every action there has to be an equal and opposite reaction. This means the rocket can only accelerate forward if a force of equal magnitude is sent in the other direction - the rocket's exhaust. Nasa's Eagleworks team is now ready to reveal its findings, it has been claimed - sending the physic world into a tizzy. 'It is my understanding that Eaglework's new paper has been today accepted for publication in a peer-review journal, where it will be published,' claims one user on the Nasa Spaceflight forum. Earlier this year, an employee confirmed the team was working on the paper. 'The Eagleworks Lab is NOT dead and we continue down the path set by our NASA management. 'Past that I can't say more other than to listen to Dr Rodal on this topic, and please have patience about when our next EW paper is going to be published. Peer reviews are glacially slow,' Eagleworks engineer Paul March wrote on the same forum. Earlier this year, a paper published in AIP Advances suggests the EmDrive produces an exhaust like every other rocket.

WHAT IS AN EM DRIVE?
The concept of an EmDrive engine is relatively simple. It provides thrust to a spacecraft by bouncing microwaves around in a closed container. Solar energy provides the electricity to power the microwaves, which means that no propellant is needed. The implications for this could be huge. For instance, current satellites could be half the size they are today without the need to carry fuel. Humans could also travel further into space, generating their own propulsion on the way.
