Woman's Face Found On MARS A Recent Image From Curiosity Rover SOL 137

After looking through some images of Mars Curiosity Rover's I found this ladies face etched in the lake on Mars.

The face on Mars is a really good likeness to a humans full facial features! This is probably millions of years old and looks remarkably like man! The image I found (Tim Lewis) is really eerie don't you think so?

Yet another face on Mars and this one looks better than the first original face on Mars? I was looking for anomalies but nothing like this? Honestly this image is on NASA's front page of their website! It's like they wanted someone to find it?

NASA's Curiosity Rover Sharpens Paradox of Ancient Mars.

Mars scientists are wrestling with a problem. Ample evidence says ancient Mars was sometimes wet, with water flowing and pooling on the planet’s surface. Yet, the ancient sun was about one-third less warm and climate modelers struggle to produce scenarios that get the surface of Mars warm enough for keeping water unfrozen. A leading theory is to have a thicker carbon-dioxide atmosphere forming a greenhouse-gas blanket, helping to warm the surface of ancient Mars. However, according to a new analysis of data from NASA's Mars rover Curiosity, Mars had far too little carbon dioxide about 3.5 billion years ago to provide enough greenhouse-effect warming to thaw water ice.

The same Martian bedrock in which Curiosity found sediments from an ancient lake where microbes could have thrived is the source of the evidence adding to the quandary about how such a lake could have existed. Curiosity detected no carbonate minerals in the samples of the bedrock it analyzed. The new analysis concludes that the dearth of carbonates in that bedrock means Mars' atmosphere when the lake existed -- about 3.5 billion years ago -- could not have held much carbon dioxide. "We've been particularly struck with the absence of carbonate minerals in sedimentary rock the rover has examined," said Thomas Bristow of NASA's Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California. "It would be really hard to get liquid water even if there were a hundred times more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than what the mineral evidence in the rock tells us."

Bristow is the principal investigator for the Chemistry and Mineralogy (CheMin) instrument on Curiosity and lead author of the study being published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. Curiosity has made no definitive detection of carbonates in any lakebed rocks sampled since it landed in Gale Crater in 2011. CheMin can identify carbonate if it makes up just a few percent of the rock. The new analysis by Bristow and 13 co-authors calculates the maximum amount of carbon dioxide that could have been present, consistent with that dearth of carbonate. In water, carbon dioxide combines with positively charged ions such as magnesium and ferrous iron to form carbonate minerals. Other minerals in the same rocks indicate those ions were readily available. The other minerals, such as magnetite and clay minerals, also provide evidence that subsequent conditions never became so acidic that carbonates would have dissolved away, as they can in acidic groundwater.

The dilemma has been building for years: Evidence about factors that affect surface temperatures -- mainly the energy received from the young sun and the blanketing provided by the planet's atmosphere -- adds up to a mismatch with widespread evidence for river networks and lakes on ancient Mars. Clues such as isotope ratios in today's Martian atmosphere indicate the planet once held a much denser atmosphere than it does now. Yet theoretical models of the ancient Martian climate struggle to produce conditions that would allow liquid water on the Martian surface for many millions of years. One successful model proposes a thick carbon-dioxide atmosphere that also contains molecular hydrogen. How such an atmosphere would be generated and sustained, however, is controversial. The new study pins the puzzle to a particular place and time, with an on-the-ground check for carbonates in exactly the same sediments that hold the record of a lake about a billion years after the planet formed. For the past two decades, researchers have used spectrometers on Mars orbiters to search for carbonate that could have resulted from an early era of more abundant carbon dioxide.

They have found far less than anticipated. "It's been a mystery why there hasn't been much carbonate seen from orbit," Bristow said. "You could get out of the quandary by saying the carbonates may still be there, but we just can't see them from orbit because they're covered by dust, or buried, or we're not looking in the right place. The Curiosity results bring the paradox to a focus. This is the first time we've checked for carbonates on the ground in a rock we know formed from sediments deposited under water." The new analysis concludes that no more than a few tens of millibars of carbon dioxide could have been present when the lake existed, or it would have produced enough carbonate for Curiosity's CheMin to detect it. A millibar is one one-thousandth of sea-level air pressure on Earth. The current atmosphere of Mars is less than 10 millibars and about 95 percent carbon dioxide. "This analysis fits with many theoretical studies that the surface of Mars, even that long ago, was not warm enough for water to be liquid," said Robert Haberle, a Mars-climate scientist at NASA Ames and a co-author of the paper. "It's really a puzzle to me."

Researchers are evaluating multiple ideas for how to reconcile the dilemma. "Some think perhaps the lake wasn't an open body of liquid water. Maybe it was liquid covered with ice," Haberle said. "You could still get some sediments through to accumulate in the lakebed if the ice weren't too thick." A drawback to that explanation is that the rover team has sought and not found in Gale Crater evidence that would be expected from ice-covered lakes, such as large and deep cracks called ice wedges, or "dropstones," which become embedded in soft lakebed sediments when they penetrate thinning ice.

If the lakes were not frozen, the puzzle is made more challenging by the new analysis of what the lack of a carbonate detection by Curiosity implies about the ancient Martian atmosphere. "Curiosity's traverse through streambeds, deltas, and hundreds of vertical feet of mud deposited in ancient lakes calls out for a vigorous hydrological system supplying the water and sediment to create the rocks we're finding," said Curiosity Project Scientist Ashwin Vasavada of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California. "Carbon dioxide, mixed with other gases like hydrogen, has been the leading candidate for the warming influence needed for such a system.

This surprising result would seem to take it out of the running." When two lines of scientific evidence appear irreconcilable, the scene may be set for an advance in understanding why they are not. The Curiosity mission is continuing to investigate ancient environmental conditions on Mars. It is managed by JPL, a division of Caltech in Pasadena, for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington. Curiosity and other Mars science missions are a key part of NASA's Journey to Mars, building on decades of robotic exploration to send humans to the Red Planet in the 2030s.

’Sarcophagus and Eye of Horus ON MARS’ - Shock claims of ancient Martian civilisation

Here's a video about plants on Mars aswell?

The following story is quite literally whatever you want to believe? It must be a slow day at his office? It looks nothing like a Sarcophagus does it? It can't be!

Source of story express.co.uk
A "SARCOPGAGUS-like" object and Eye of Horus-style "carving" have allegedly been found in NASA images taken on Mars.

A Sarcophagus has been found on Mars
NOT A SARCOPHAGUS
The far-fetched claims are made by a notorious alien hunter in a series of blogs. Scott C Waring wrote on website ufosightingsdfaily.com that his discovery of the Eye of Horus "carved into a rock" on the Red Planet was "absolute proof of life". He said: "This is the Eye of Horus on Mars. The writing is clear, if you seen enough Egyptian hieroglyphs, you will know right off, this is a type of writing through drawings. "I don't imagine much will ever come of it, since few if any Egyptian archaeologists will ever see these photos.

"Each line has distinct meaning and purpose behind it. This is 100 percent evidence that intelligent life did once exist on the surface of Mars. "If life still exists, it would have to live below the surface, because daily life above the surface would be extremely hard, but not impossible." The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health, which often appeared in hieroglyphs.

This looks nothing like a heiroglyphs it's silly to say it is
Here we go again

There is a widespread theory among some alien believers Mars once had life that flourished just like on Earth, with ancient civilisations to rival our own, but that it was killed off by a catastrophic nuclear war. It ties in with the ancient aliens theory that our own civilisations like the ancient Egyptians were visited by advanced aliens from outer space thousands of years ago who helped them build remarkable monuments like the pyramids.

The images Mr Waring scours through are taken by the NASA Curiosity rover droid which roams the surface of the planet and beams back photos before they are placed online for anyone to view. In separate images taken by the rover, Mr Waring claimed to find more evidence of an ancient civilisation - a sarcophagus. He wrote today: "I also found a funeral sarcophagus in the shape of a person.

"It has similarities to ancient Egyptian sarcophaguses found." Mr Waring also claimed to find ruined buildings. With so much evidence apparently just sitting on the surface of Mars, why have we heard nothing from NASA? Mr Waring, like many fellow conspiracy theorists, has his own idea why. He added: "You know NASA. They want to keep it quiet so Russia and China will not begin to compete with them to make colonies on Mars."

NASA has a different response. Although it will not comment on individual claims, NASA says there is no evidence of even the simplest forms of life having existed on Mars. The so-called discoveries of ancient structures on Mars, it says, are simply the effects of pareidolia coupled with imagination and wishful thinking. Pareidolia is when the brain tricks the eyes into seeing familiar objects or shapes, such as animals or faces in textures or patterns, such as clouds or the surface of a rock.

NASA footage shows ‘UFO mothership’ crash landed on Mars a long time ago

I'm the conspiracy theorist who suggest's this is a UFO. I think this is a bone fide UFO sitting on the surface of the red planet. Mars has a rich history of anomalies. There's just so many thing's to report on? NASA is up to something? Is it a hoax, is it real? Who know's what is real and what is not?

This sure look's like a downed UFO? Was it crashed on purpose by an Alien in trouble? Did they have to leave it for some reason? Is it a crazy looking natural looking formation? If it is a downed UFO, could we get some technology from it? For one thing though, this is definitely a strange thing! If it's of Alien origin I couldn't tell you?

UFO on Mars is a definite

Here's what other's have to say about it;

The location of the spacecraft is alleged to be near the Tharsis and Elysium volcanic areas of the Red Planet. It was spotted by the conspiracy theorists in a photo taken by NASA's Mars Global Surveyor. They believe the UFO “crash landed” on the surface of the planet and has been abandoned there ever since. The reason for the crash remains unknown.

UFO crash landing on Mars in shocking NASA clip

"If we take a look at the crash site we see that the UFO, which is approximately 190 metres wide, impacted the surface at a low angle, ending up half buried in the Martian soil,” the alien hunter explains in the YouTube video. He adds: ”In 2000, the Mars Global Surveyor captured many images of the Medusae Fossae formation and it was Steve Wingate, a NASA image specialist who discovered a very unusual object half-buried in the Martian soil, what appears to be a crashed alien craft.

"Despite frantic efforts to make his amazing finding public, the image mysteriously disappeared several times from his site but surprisingly the image released on October 16, 2000, remained on the NASA servers till now." The video has now been viewed more than 107,000 times but not all viewers were convinced. One wrote: “A meteorite collided with Mars and the impact crater is where you have imagined you can see an alien spacecraft. “The white area to the right is a debris field showing ice.”

Another added: “Lol these always make me laugh.” Recently a “fleet of UFOs” spotted over Turkey sent Twitter into a frenzy when the hashtag #ufoattack started trending. Baffled stargazers shared a number of strange videos on social media showing bizarre lights filling the night sky. That video emerged after one man claimed to have “summoned a UFO fleet” in another crazy video.

Ancient walled city found on Mars Stunning Video Shows Life DID Exist At One Time On Mars

SHOCKING claims have been made that these pictures show the foundations of a ruined ancient city on the surface of Mars. Are these real walls or are they just meteor craters formed on a different rock layer?

A video produced by the United Family of Anomaly Hunters entitled "NASA Spots Walled Cities on Mars from MRO Satellite" has been uploaded to YouTube, prompting a fierce debate about whether it could actually be the earthworks of a former ancient alien settlement on the surface of the planet.

The images were taken from above by the NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter satellite, NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter which blasted off from Cape Canaveral in 2005 to search for evidence of water on the surface. The video includes a series of aerial views which appear to show eroded domes, which are surrounded by almost circular rings, which have been described as potentially being the remains of walls around buildings.

Possible walled cities found on Mars?
One viewer was convinced they were similar to ancient ruins found on Earth. He posted on YouTube: "There are structures similar to these all over certain areas in South Africa." A poster with the user name The Kruxed added: "It's funny as these are very similar to old neolithic to early Roman ruins you find in England and Wales and also Roman market town architecture. "They would usually have a raised circular inner with outer complexes of either ditches, walls or large stacked rocks or a combination of some of those features depending on where the ruins are located."

Viewers went on to dispute claims they were meteorite craters with internal peak rings - a natural phenomenon. A user with the name Pickle Jaar said: "NASA can say anything but that doesn't look like a natural formation to me. "Meteor impacts does not form pentagon or hexagonal shapes. Great find man." Rick The Explorer added: "The pentagon shape to the black around the circles is what's puzzling.

"Like you, when I first saw this I was thinking craters. "With "no Atmosphere" on Mars, the asteroids must come in very fast and hot, but it's the lines in that pentagon surrounding it!" Bugt, Kanal Khan had a more level-headed view. He posted: "Looks to me like an old volcanic eruption, but I could be wrong." And other viewers simply branded the images as "fake".

Here is some other images from Mars that have stumped scientists and people alike? Though you cannot explain the stuff in the images, NASA will only say that these images are all natural formation? Go figure I suppose? When NASA says jump, we are expected to jump?
